Sports & Recovery Massage: For the Weekend Warriors and Active Lifesytles
My approach to sports massage in Colorado Springs is shaped not only by years of advanced training, but also by a personal philosophy I carry from my dad: keep moving, keep showing up, and take care of the body that lets you do the things you love. Each session is designed to help you recover faster, prevent injury, and feel stronger in daily life and play.
What to Expect in Your Sports Massage Session
Sports massage is more than relaxation—it’s about helping your body move better, recover faster, and perform stronger. Whether you’re working through an injury or preventing one, each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Techniques may include:
Neuromuscular therapy & trigger point work
Cupping & IASTM (instrument-assisted soft tissue modulation/gua sha/scraping/Graston)
Kinesiology taping
Targeted stretching & mobility work
Sports massage is designed for active bodies—whether you’re training hard, competing, or simply staying active on weekends.
Note: All techniques are included in one flat session rate—no upsells, just the right tools to help your body feel freer and stronger.
Session Length & Focus
60 Minutes: Focus on one area while still addressing the whole body.
90 Minutes: Targeting 2+ areas, plus deeper tissue work, or if you’re looking for Ashiatsu (barefoot) techniques.
Advanced Needs: If you need extra time or have more than 2 targeted areas, the 90-minute session will allow me to dive deeper into the areas that need the most attention; select “Ashiatsu” on the schedule.
Many spas and therapists charge $15-30 extra for add-ons such as hot stones or cupping. I want you to receive these benefits without worrying about cost so they are always available for your appointment and included in your session price.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping is an ancient healing method that uses gentle suction to lift the skin and superficial fascia. This increases circulation, helps ease tension, and may calm the nervous system through sensory receptors in the skin.
In sports massage, cupping can:
Relieve back, neck, and headache pain
Relax overactive muscles
Support better movement patterns and performance
Note: Cupping often leaves circular marks that usually fade within 3–5 days.

Hot Stones
Heated stones are used to gently warm and soften sore, achy muscles. The combination of soothing heat and therapeutic touch helps melt away tension, ease discomfort, and promote deep relaxation.
Benefits include:
Relieving muscle pain and stiffness
Increasing circulation
Encouraging deeper tissue release
Creating a grounding, calming experience
Note: Please request hot stones ahead of time so they can be prepared for your appointment.

Hot Towels
Warm towels can be applied to specific areas of the body to soothe muscles, increase circulation, and melt away tension. The gentle heat encourages relaxation, making it easier for tight tissue to release.
Benefits include:
Calming the nervous system
Softening and relaxing overworked muscles
Enhancing the effectiveness of massage techniques
Creating a deeper sense of comfort and care
Note: Hot towels are especially delightful when used on the feet or hands, but can be applied anywhere extra relaxation is needed.
FREE
Kinesiology Tape
Kinesiology taping is an evidence-based technique applied to specific areas of the body to support movement and recovery. The tape gently interacts with the skin and nervous system to aid in healing and improve body awareness.
Benefits include:
Pain mitigation and rehabilitation support
Managing swelling/edema
Improving scar mobility
Assisting with posture and proprioception
Note: Tape can last up to 5 days depending on activity level and placement.
Pricing: First area is complimentary; additional areas $10 each.
IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Modulation)
Also known as “scraping,” “gua sha,” or “Graston technique,” IASTM uses specialized tools to gently interact with soft tissue and the nervous system.
Benefits include:
Reducing pain through neuro-sensory modulation
Relaxing tight or overactive muscles
Supporting improved mobility and performance
Note: IASTM is applied with light pressure—outdated aggressive scraping is no longer needed. Mild redness may appear and usually fades quickly.
