Why I’m Moving to Flat-Rate Pricing—And How It Benefits You

At Laura Gehant Massage Therapy, my goal has always been to create a space where you can fully relax, receive personalized care, and trust that you’re in good hands. In service of that mission, I’ve decided to move away from gratuity-based pricing and adopt a simple, flat-rate structure for all massage sessions.

Here’s why I’m making this change—and why it’s a good thing for you.

1. Clarity and Simplicity

No more wondering what the “right” tip is or doing math after your session. With flat-rate pricing, the amount you see is the amount you pay—no surprises, no pressure. This lets you stay in that peaceful, post-massage state without being pulled back into decision-making mode.

2. A Focus on Care, Not Customary Percentages

Tipping is a well-meaning tradition, but it can sometimes create uncertainty or an uneven experience. By removing gratuities from the equation, I’m reinforcing what my practice has always been about: providing the best massage possible every single time, not based on gratuity, but because that’s what you deserve.

3. Consistency and Transparency

Flat-rate pricing supports fairness for everyone. Every client pays the same for the same level of care, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. This consistency helps build a clear and trustworthy foundation between us.

4. Supporting a Sustainable Practice

As a solo practitioner, shifting to a flat-rate model allows me to structure pricing in a way that fairly reflects the training, energy, and time I invest in each session—while keeping your experience smooth, supportive, and stress-free.

Your Experience Matters Most

This change is part of my ongoing commitment to creating a client-centered experience—one rooted in respect, integrity, and ease. I want every part of your session, from booking to checkout, to feel calm and intentional.

As always, thank you for trusting me with your care. If you have any questions or feedback about the new pricing model, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always here to talk things through.

With gratitude,
Laura
